Before tree surgery is commenced to any tree, we undertake a check with the Local Authority to determine the status of a site. We look to see if any of the trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders, lie within a Conservation Area or are the subject of Planning Conditions. Should there be any restrictions, permission must be obtained from the Local Authority. This process usually takes up to 8 weeks from the date of submission of a formal application via an online planning portal. An accurate arboricultural description of the proposed works is required along with a map indicating the position of the tree(s). All tree works will be required to conform to BS 3998: (2010) Tree Work Recommendations.
