3. All sites are checked with the Local Authorities and applications carried out on your behalf, if your tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order or is located within a Conservation Area.

5. Removal of arisings (unless otherwise stated in your quotation).

 

Please note the following terms and conditions:

 

1. We aim to turnaround all quotes within 7-10 working days.  Emergency works take priority.  Our estimators do get booked up approximately 2 weeks in advance, so may not be able to get to sites that are far away, instantly.  We will update you with a timescale if this happens.

2. Please can all correspondence (enquiries, purchase orders, confirmation of dates etc) be sent to enquiries@fletcherstrees.co.uk.  Please do not use individual email addresses as when our staff are on site, this can hold up your enquiry.  From this email address, all enquiries will be logged onto our database so that we all can see a record of it, and can all deal with any further correspondence.

3. Where possible, please can a site plan be sent through or notification of the location of the tree(s).  If you wish us to contact someone on site (resident or staff) prior to quoting, please let us know, otherwise we shall assume that access is clear and unobstructed.

4. If internal access is required, please make suitable arrangements to make the pathway as clear as possible.

5. If you wish us to carry out the tree works as quoted, we do need a PO including details on where to send the invoice, before booking in the job.  We do check all sites to make sure the trees are not protected in any way and we apply on your behalf to the local authority if they are.  We are constrained by the local authority and cannot chase them up until the designated time period has elapsed.

6. When booking in works, if the trees are within close proximity to a car parking area we need this area to be kept clear of cars on the day of working.

7. Any variations to the specification/quotation will only be accepted if notified in writing.

8. Bird Nesting - The season runs from March until 30th September.  As such it is illegal for us to work on any tree which has an active bird's nest within them.  

9. Stump Grinding - Whilst every effort is made to locate underground services through a visual inspection we cannot be held responsible should any damage occur to underground services during the stump grinding operation where we have not been advised by the owner/client as to their location.

10. Aborted Visit - We reserve the right to raise an 'Abortive Visit Charge' (25% of the total works value exc VAT) if a schedule works date is agreed for work at your premises and the team arrives but is unable to carry out the work at, or gain access to, your premises. This may be because entry to your premises is refused or no access can be gained or where the work area is impeded, this could be by vehicle or belongings.

11. We request that all invoices are paid in a timely manner – if there are any issues with regards to the works, please email through and someone will answer your query.

12. If the work is deemed as unsatisfactory, a complaint must be made within 7 days of completion of work, otherwise the work will be deemed as satisfactory.

13. Whilst we take every care and precaution, please note that due to the nature of this work, minor damage may occur to your underplanting's. This does not affect your statutory rights.  

14. We reserve the right to withdraw this quotation at any time, prior to the commencement of works.  Any goods supplied will remain the property of Fletcher (Trees) Ltd until the invoice is paid in full.
